Who we are

We are an outdoor education and experiential learning provider established in 2011. We are based in Hong Kong and operate across locations in China.

We tailor each program to your specific needs, bringing our industry experience and our unique “service and cultural learning” approach to your outdoor learning experience.

We offer:

Our Team

Anthony

Anthony a retired lawyer, comes from a business background, with risk management and control expertise gained from 15 years as Bank legal counsel and significant team management, building and training experience in the corporate world.

As the engaged parent of two outgoing, resilient and mindful adult sons, Anthony finds meaning in delivering quality experiential educational programmes to youth in Hong Kong and China.

He is also a lifelong outdoorsman, with experience in camping, hiking, kayaking and competitive trail running. He holds Wilderness Advanced First Aid, PADI Advanced diver certificate and a BCU sea kayak award.

Wanda

Wanda is an experienced educator, naturalist, conservationist and permaculturalist from Canada. She is a registered teacher with over 20 years’ experience in secondary and tertiary educational institutions, as well as in outdoor education of students from primary to master’s level.

Her work has ranged from serving as a curriculum development officer for language arts at the Hong Kong Education Bureau to delivering experiential and leadership programmes in the field.

Possessing master’s degrees in psychology, education and linguistics, Wanda is also fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taishanese. She is an Ontario Canoe Association-certified Level II paddler, a British Sub-Aqua Club-certified sports diver and an agency-certified advanced first aid provider.

Zoe

Zoé is passionate about making education accessible and fun. She started out her career in the rock climbing industry, and has since expanded into teaching and facilitating groups outdoors for the past 8 years. Zoé also loves food, surfing, and a good day out canyoning. Outside of work, you can consistently find her trying to get to know every dog in Hong Kong. She holds an AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor qualification and a BCU 3-Star Sea Kayak Award.

Aidan

Aidan has been involved in the outdoors and coaching from a very young age and been working professionally in the outdoors since 2014. He is experienced in a number of activities from kayaking to rock climbing to snowboarding. He has also worked in the USA, UK, Italy, France and Hong Kong. Aidan holds a degree in Outdoor Education from the University of Cumbria and a BCU Level 2 Coaching certificate.

Tan

Tan has over 15 years of outdoor teaching experience and has facilitated more than 100 outdoor educational programmes with over 2,000 students since 2004. He was a Training Instructor in both Outward Bound Hong Kong and Wilderness Malaysia. Conversant in 5 languages – English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien, Tan has guided numerous educational programmes all over China, Malaysia and Australia. He is a Leave No Trace Master Educator, Wilderness  First Responder and kayak instructor. Tan is also passionate about sharing his knowledge on organic gardening and nature conservation.

Jack

Jack hails from the Peak District, England and has completed a masters degree in Archaeology at the University of Sheffield. He has experience working for the National Trust on guided hikes and general national park husbandry and maintenance. He has experience working in a school setting as a teaching assistant and has worked in the outdoor industry in Hong Kong/China for 4 years for various companies. He holds a ACA Level 2 sea kayak instructor qualification, Wilderness First Aid, Junior Sports Leader Award, a TEFL and is a Leave no Trace trainer. Jack is also a big fan of rock climbing, drumming and loves going on different adventures around the world.

Duncan

Duncan has over 8 years of facilitating and instructing groups across Africa, Asia, and UK, leading Duke of Edinburgh Residential camps and coordinating customised Design Thinking workshops for corporate clients in Kenya. He is a curriculum design and facilitator for business development workshops.

As an outdoors educator, Duncan holds a UK Level 3 award in Education and Training, ACA Level 2 Kayaking instructor, Wilderness First Aid qualification and is an ERCA certified high ropes instructors and rescuer.

Having grown up on a farm, he has over 20 years of hands-on farming and bushcraft experience, speaks 4 languages fluently and can say hello in a few more!

Mercy

Mercy has over 5 years leading and facilitating outdoor activities for groups in outdoor activities in Hong Kong and The Middle East including 3 years leading International Awards (IA) expeditions. Mercy coordinated and led the Mobility district in Expo 2020 held in Dubai as district leader for the kids camp serving over 8,000 children. She has hands-on experience as a customer relations manager in sporting events and tournaments across different elementary schools.

She is an ERCA Instructor and Rescuer, Duke of Edinburgh assessor, Level 2 Paediatric First Aider with CPR, Archery GB, Outdoor learning educator and TEFL certified instructor.
